SMART TOILET SYSTEM
SMART TOILET SYSTEM

ABSTRACT:

Toilets experience the perpetual problem of lack of hygiene. Appointing an all-time janitor is not possible at each and every toilet. Automation can reduce the janitor’s burden by looking after the maintenance of the toilet and sending timely updates. We’ve tried to tackle this issue by developing an IoT based smart system. We have used sensors to measure water level in tanks, water usage and to detect the presence of a person  in the toilet. With the data from sensors, our system predicts the cleanliness of toilets. The sensors are interfaced with ESP32 NODMOC, which processes the sensor data and uploads it to the cloud. The necessary action is initiated by the ESP32. The data collected by the sensors is fed to Thing Speak, which generates graphs. With its ready-made machine learning tools, Thing Speak identifies patterns in data and provides an analysis, which can cover some useful information.

INTRODUCTION:

Toilets in major city areas experience a major footfall. It is difficult to ensure cleanliness of toilets. Our system aims to detect unclean toilets and notify the janitor about the same. Health Check System aims to identify unclean toilets and notify the in-charge or janitor about it so that necessary action can be taken to ensure cleanliness. Also, we intend to provide a platform to the janitor where he can check the level of water present in the tank and monitor the amount of water consumed. People can post cleanliness ratings and upload pictures of damages. The system detects the presence of a person in the toilet and starts monitoring the amount of water consumed. It will issue notifications via SMS to the janitor if water usage is above the specified threshold or if water usage is too less, hinting at a possibly unclean toilet. The system will send an SMS to the janitor when the water level falls below a certain mark and also generates graphs for real-time monitoring using Thing Speak analysis tool. Hence the system serves a social cause as well.

DESIGN & IMPLEMENTATION:

The objective of this project is Usage of Toilet is to be in checking of human urine. In this project we are going to identify the percentage of glucose content in human urine.

In this project First we supply the power to ESP32 NoDMCU it will activate. Later when human enters to the toilet RFID Reader will read the human information by using RFID Tag and that information wille send to LCD Display. LCD Display will Displays the person information. Here will use the color strips those will Detects the person urine color  and send to color sensor. This will identify the  percentage of glucose in a person urine.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

·         Hardware Components:

Ø  ESP32 NoDMCU

Ø  Power supply

Ø  Color Sensor

Ø   Color Strips

Ø  RFID Reader

Ø  RFID Tag

Ø  Electro Mechanical Relay

Ø  LCD Display

·         Software Components:

Ø  Embedded C

Ø  Arduino IDE

ADVANTAGES:

·        They are easy to use. This is probably one of the biggest advantages that these toilets have over the traditional type of toilets.

·       There is a reduced risk of overflowing.

·        They are environmentally friendly.

·        Instant cleaning and health tracking.

·        It is easy to check glucose level of person urine.

CONCLUSION:

The objective of this project is Usage of Toilet is to be in checking of human urine. In this project we are going to identify the percentage of glucose content in human urine. We have designed and developed an Internet of Things based smart system for public toilets. This system consists of sensors, as mentioned previously, that can be easily deployed. All the sensor readings and feedback from the users of the public toilets were collected through an Android application on a frequent basis. A back-end database, which is Firebase in our case, was used in order to collect and store all the information, readings and user feedback. To easily analyse the information collected regarding cleanliness, water level in tanks and water usage, maintaining and presenting it in a graphical form was also necessary. We used the Thing Speak platform to achieve this. Our proposed system will also help in creating awareness among the people about proper sanitation. Thus, by implementing smart technologies in existing public toilets we can maintain hygiene and cleanliness, preventing new diseases from spreading due to improper hygiene.
