Abstract

In current world, as we all know that everything is getting automated and people are getting used to adopt smart techniques to get their work done. Agriculture, although one of the most important field for determining the growth of a country, is lagging in terms of smart works. One of the biggest irony of our country is agriculture being the main occupation of India still lags in using the smart techniques in the field of agriculture. India is ranked second in terms farm output despite of the fact that the technology in other are way better than in India. If we are able to introduce technology in our farming techniques there are chances that we might be able to become largest country to export farm products. According to some statistics, India’s population by the end of 2040 might reach over 1.6 billion which is quite a significant number. To suffice such a large amount agricultural yield must also be increased rapidly. In India, due to poor seed quality & inefficient farming practices, lack of cold storage and harvest spoilage nearly 30% of the farmer’s produce is wasted. In US, where automation techniques in agricultural farming has already been implemented the cereal yield is nearly 6600 Kg/Hectare which is three times more than India whose cereal yield is just 2600 Kg/Hectare approximately.
