Nowadays Technology keeps on upgrading. Home security is essential for occupant’s convenience and protection. Security systems are being preferred over manual system. With the rapid increase in the number of users of internet over the past decade has made Internet a part and parcel of life, and IOTs is the latest and emerging internet technology. Home Appliances control of smart security system using IOTs uses computers or mobile devices to control basic home functions and features through internet from anywhere around the world. This security system differs from other system by allowing the user to operate the system from anywhere around the world through internet connection. With the help of NODMCU an Embedded device, security system design was constructed with the help of many sensors like PIR sensor, Fire Sensor, Gas Sensors.

The above is our proposed block diagram for home automation. We are using NODMCU ESP8266 as controller to control all the sensors and actuators. We are using MQ 5 gas sensor for LPG gas leakage detection. In order to detect light is there in home or not we are using LDR sensor. The LM35 sensor is used to temperature and it also helps to the know the fire detection. PIR sensor is used to detect the human motion. In order to provide light LED is used and in order to alert buzzer is used. NODMCU controller will control all these sensors and actuators and sends the collected data to the blynk server through its inbuilt wifi. We can monitor all the data in the server through blynk app in android phone.

We proposed IOT and sensor based control of home automation system leverages the power of NODMCU to provide a holistic using sensors and IOT to make home to be secured and safety with the help of internet of things.
