ABSTRACT

During the COVID-19 pandemic, technological solutions have been critical in keeping our cities functional, and in fact the long lasting impacts of engaging technologies on urban areas may occur beyond COVID-19. This Research Topic aims to investigate the sustainability, tolerability and reliability of IoT solutions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are checking temperature, ECG, pulse rate, moving on checking everyone alerting immediate with buzzer, and app notifications, monitoring all the data in IOT platform android app. We also proposed an automatic sanitizer Dispenser. This project represents the system for monitoring the patient’s body 24/7 by using IoT. Now a days, patient monitoring system is getting much more popularity to the researcher and patient guardian. This system has the capability to monitor physiological parameters form patient body. This system is responsible for collecting pulse; body temperature and heart bit from the patient’s body and send the data into IoT Cloud platform by using WIFI-Module and health condition of patient stored in the cloud. It enables the medical specialist or authorized person to monitor patient’s health, where the medical specialist or authorized person can continuously monitor the patient’s condition on the cloud server.

INTRODUCTION

Hospital stuffs face severe difficulty when they are faced with the task of taking care of multiple patients simultaneously. Problems such as waiting in the queue, travelling time, moving patient, waiting for doctor etc are some of the issues faced by the patients. During an emergency, the situation might get worse. Monitoring the critical patient 24/7 is very important for reducing life threating risk. Wireless application put the great impact in the health care services. It also reduces operating costs of the hospital. In medical science wireless application has several numbers of advantages such as, ease of use, reduced risk of infection and enhanced mobility. With the help of wireless system, it is very easy to monitor several patients simultaneously. An IOT based health monitoring for covid-19 system has been proposed which is able to perform different types of functions within limits of specified time, accuracy and cost. This IoT base system is cheap and can operate remotely. Biological parameters of patients is detecting by sensors. The use of sensor with ESP 32, Blynk app and Blynk server has made the patient monitoring system more effective. Sanitization can be done in many ways including UV Sanitization, Soap Sanitization, Alcohol Sanitization, Bleach Sanitization and so on. Of the above methods, alcohol was found to be more useful for human beings since it is harmless on skin surface, vaporizes easily and kills most of the viruses, bacteria, and also removes dirt in our hands. Alcohol may be expensive for mass scale sanitization of buildings or rooms and a major disadvantage is that, alcohol is highly inflammable and requires careful storage to avoid catastrophe. Alcohol also makes hands dry since it absorbs moisture, and hence also needs addition of moisturizers. Alcohol based hand sanitizers are also provided with antiseptic disinfectants like Chlorohexidine Gluconate.

Conclusion

An efficient Health monitoring system is developed to monitor the up to date status of the patient irrespective of the presence of the doctor. The system collects information like temperature, oxygen level, ECG and pulse rate of the patient and updates the same to the doctor. The doctor can monitor the progress of patients' health now and then to advise them about their health. We also included the automated sanitizer dispenser.
